After threatening my VW dealer with driving my Beetle into their beloved showroom, setting my Beetle on fire on the sidewalk directly out front and having my family lawyer send death threats.... they decided to take my car in and asked me to create a laundry lists of things I feel it needs done.

Usually when I go to the dealer to drop off my car I'm shuttled to Enterprise for a rental but this time I said I wanted a VW loaner and that they needed to over look the fact I was under 25. They did... and they put me in this, a 2013 Brand new off the inventory lot Golf 2.5L 4-Door

The car is actually pretty nice, The 2.5L 5 Cylinder feels very refined in the Golf, it's pretty quick off the line (this morning I had to over take an entire intersection due to a disabled vehicle in the lane just across the intersection and I made the tires scream), as always it sounds great but..... the ride is very soft, body roll is vomit inducing and potholes are swallowed up with a slight bump. I expected the Golf to perform pretty equally with my Beetle but my car is stiffer in all aspects and feels a hell of a lot more sporty..yeah I said it, my beetle is SPORTY .. h8trs

The golf gets major points in the comfort department, the cloth feels way more premium than a comparable nissan versa or focus, the finsihes are plastic yes but they fit nicely and theres plenty of soft touch squishyness to compensate. The car has 4 doors and they work, 4 adults fit just fine and the boot is what you would expect from a hatchback, shit fits back there. The electrics are fine, bluetooth works as it should, the sound system is suprisngly good for a base system (had the mirrors vibrating while playing Milkshake by Kelis driving past some tween cheer leaders raising money with a 7/11 carwash)

I would consider this car over my car if it were a diesel, because the 5 cylinder isn't that great on gas , so don't be all tree hugger oriented if you were looking at buying one.

I would push this car on frugal familes looking for a family hauler or elderly people looking for a comfortable and affordable car, all others should go GTI or Jetta SportWagen.

Keep my bug in your prayers please...

I had to take my s4 into Audi one time over the summer while I lived in michigan (parents lived in TN) and I'm only 18, but I demanded they gave me a car and acted like some kind of boss man, and they ended up giving me an a3 s-line tdi. I needed it for work and 25 minute drive to work from where I lived. I felt like a champ when they broke the systems rules for me

Well I'm 19 and on my 3rd bought on my own car, my age should have no affect on getting a loaner car, I've spent plenty of money with them, I deserve it.
